High blood pressure is defined as a condition where your systolic blood pressure is higher then or equal to 140 mmHg and your diastolyic blood pressure is equal to or higher than 90 mmHg. The symptoms caused by this condition are: headaches, nausea, a feeling of having a heavy head, and heightened emotional sensitivity.
High blood pressure is often found in the elderly, who tend to disregard the nutritional value (or lack thereof) of the food they consume. Examples of food we should avoid are: butter, chocolate, canned fruit, and peanut butter. You should be sure to get a healthy portion of fruits and vegetables to balance out your eating patterns.
