Cholera Symptoms
People who have cholera bacteria on their feces might not yet feel any peculiar complaint during 1-2 weeks, but after that diarrhea and vomiting occur suddenly as the infection attacking with a severe condition that cause undetected diarrhea.
However, there are several symptoms that can be recognize: excessive diarrhea without proceed by pain in the stomach or tenesmus. Feces which was originally has color and smelled turned into a cloudy white liquid (like rice water) without smelly or fishy odor, but like a sweet smell. When these feces stored, it will issue a white clumps. Diarrhea will occur many times and in sufficient quantity. Vomiting without any pain feeling in the stomach occurs after proceed by diarrhea. Stomach cramps also can be felt which accompanied by great pain.
The lack of liquids in the body will cause dehydration, that has symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, dry mouth, weak, sunken eyes, hypotension, etc. which if not treated immediately can lead to death.
