Insomnia is kind of difficulty to sleep or difficulty staying asleep, or sleep disorders that makes people feel not enough sleep at the time they woke up. Insomnia are classified into primary insomnia, which is chronic insomnia with less or nothing related with the stress and events, and secondary insomnia is a condition that caused by pain, anxiety, drugs, depression, or great stress.

Difficult to sleep usually happens, either at a young age or old age, and often occur simultaneously with emotional disorders, like anxiety, nervous, depression, or fear (sometimes a person is difficult to sleep because the body and brain is not tired). Along with increasing of age, time to sleep tends to decrease.

Stages of sleep also change, in which stage 4 becomes shorter and eventually disappear. These changes, although normal, often makes old people thinks that they are not getting enough sleep.
