Stress and Diabetes
Diabetes Mellitus comes from the Greek word “diabainein” which means transparent or shower and in the Latin is “mellitus“, meaning sweet, that is why diabetes mellitus known as diabetes. Diabetes Mellitus is a disease which level of sugar inside someone’s blood becomes high because sugar inside the blood can’t be used by the body properly.
Increase of blood sugar can be caused by:
* The insulin hormones are reduced
* Sensitivity decreases of insulin hormones
* Stress
Stress can aggravate the health conditions of diabetic, therefore it is expected that stress management is performed during the time of healing and treatment. These things are presented by Reza Gunawan in the workshop of “Stress Management in diabetes“
