Hearing Loss On The Ear

Ear has its function to listen to the voice and as a balance instrument, ear divided into 3 parts: outer ear, middle ear and inner ear. Outer part consists of the outer ear to the tympani membrane, middle ear consists of the pouch tympani (malleus, innkus, stapes) antrum tympani, tuba auditiva eustachi while inner ear consist of: labirintus osseous, labririntus membranous.

Hearing LossHearing loss occurs at the age of 65 years (55%)> 80 years reached up to 66%, hearing loss does not just happen because of the addition of age such as hearing loss due to drug consumption. Generally, there are 3 kinds of hearing loss: conjunctiva hearing loss, sensory hearing loss and mixed (conjunctiva and mixed).

Hearing aids can help the elderly hearing function which had decreased. However, hearing instruments can not solve the problem because for some people the uses of hearing aid cause embarrassment (so they do not want to wear that). This matter requires assistance from an expert of audiologist to become a support from a source of suggestions for the patient.
