One of the killer diseases in this world is coronary heart disease; this disease is become a primary disease both in developed and developing countries that could bring death to its sufferer besides other diseases such as bird flu or avian flu. Many people died due to this disease and this disease is relatively difficult to be cure and often spend plenty of money (like cost for surgery).
Although the disease is suffered by many elderly people, the young people also have to keep themselves so that can be avoided from this disease when they get old, because this disease is emerging as a result of our unhealthy lifestyles during younger age.
Coronary arteries are the blood vessels that supply the blood to the heart. The blood carries oxygen that is needed by the heart muscles, which located in the heart wall, in order to work optimally for pumping the blood throughout the body. If the heart muscles do not receive the oxygen perfectly then its function will be disrupted and the heart function to pump the blood will be disrupted as well.
Coronary heart disease was initially caused by the fat accumulation in the heart’s blood vessel (coronary arteries), and this is gradually followed by various processes such as the accumulation of connective tissue, calcification, blood clotting, and others which all of them can narrowed or clogged the blood arteries.
This will cause the heart muscle experiencing lack of blood flows and can cause a variety of serious consequences, from angina pectoris (chest pain) to heart infarction, which people often recognized as a heart attack that can lead to sudden death.
